We by no stretch have a fancy camera. Yet look at this. Not a bad photograph what? Then again we weren't on a quad. Don't even start. Right. The north end of Duck Lake is a treat. There is allways a few Heron, Duck, Geese, Cormorant, Red-Winged Blackbird, and who knows what else. I must say the Pelicans in the spring and fall are my alltime favorite to watch. What a treat. As is Duck Lake anytime of year. So we left this lovely walk and then stopped at Sanders on the way home. Were else but Creston.

Mr. Sanders isn't really to keen on having his picture taken so this is a rare photo of Rodger out in thier field with the u-pick crew. We'd come back from Duck Lake and stopped to pick a few pales to take home. Still cool in the morning, no bugs, lovely big berries. Pleasant way to start your day off. Sanders Strawberries is out in Wyndell on Channel Road. They're open from 7-4 seven days a week. Get out there for some great berries and a fun time. This is Katherine heading west up Corn Creek. The water is just covered in cotton wood. You can only do this when the water is high in the spring. Kind of fun to snake your way up the creek. Turtles, ducks, ducklings and bugs. I'm sure there are loads of other things but thats what I see mostly. Good fun. Wow, nature trumps man hands down anyday. I mean really. Is this not beyond words. Lucky me to be shown were these little gems reside. Katherine found them shortly after we moved here and has only shown a small handfull of people. How else to protect something as delicate and as special as this. I mean you wait all winter and into the spring just to see this for a week or so. Would you not keep them a well guarded secret? |
