Registration Starts March 1st. on line at crestonvalleybirds.ca.  Some events are limited in size so get in there early and book your place.  Also Creston campus of College of the Rockies.

What a great event.  Tanna and her crew of volenteers have been at it all winter.  They've gone all out and I think are true to their advertizing slogan.  "A Celebration of the Art, the Agricullture, and the birds of the Creston Valley".

What a great line-up of speakers.  They've done a ton of work and really deserve our support.  Sign up early.  I know Katherine and I will be.

Hillhurst / Sunnyside Market

Found this little gem down in Calgary at the Hillhurst Market.  Now that lighter is actually in a shell that slides down.  In doing that the egg shaped cap slides out of the way to expose the wick.  That's the striker for the flint to the right.  Kinda cool.  The Market is kinda cool to.  It's got a good feel to it.  Hope to get down there again and will take a photo and tell you about the most brilliant Lebonese food I've had in an age.  And the lighter.  Might be it'll be used for the steam punk costume I'm planning for this halloween.

So this is my new world for the next few months.  I gotta say everyone has made me feel so welcome in returning that I kinda miss the place.  This is were Katherine and I were before we started the book store in Creston.  The old C.F.B. Penhold Base.  Renamed to Springbrook.  Just south of Red Deer.  The old base is kinda cool.  I gotta say it's the sunshine that a guy really misses.  Day after day of sun.  We just don't get that in Creston in the winter.

O.K. what kind of a nut would write a sign "CLODED MONDAY ".  And why?  Well actaully there is a reason.  Katherine and Tamara are running the shop while I head out to Red Deer to work till the spring.  Am so looking forward to returning to Creston.  What a special little place.  Well, I miss Katherine tons as well.  All in all am I'm kinda looking forward to May.
