Fresh Asparagus. This started the middle of last week. Wednesday the 8th. We'll have about six weeks of fresh farm-gate asparagus. Quite a treat. Stinky pee for six weeks and then the whole town gets back to normal. I haven't told the Oso Negro crew in Nelson yet but I think I'll try to ship some over to them on the bus. A fun little gift that won't really cost too much. Field runs at 2.50/lb is a bargain.
