We allways start the new year off with the DOOM & GLOOM window display.  It's a favorite for a lot of our customers. Allso a time to remember a favorite customer, Will Hudson. " There is no such thing as good progress." I think we'll have to post a photo of him one day along with a few more of his sayings. A depressing window for a dull and depressing time of year. Apppy New Year Everyone.

Wow. Lucky Us. "Supercharge Your Savings" What a joke. Our feds, aka The U.S. Treasury  have done us no favors with these low interest rates. Oh, but it's good for buying a house. Not. The prices have simply gone up. The banks still get their pound of flesh. The best part is our goverment telling us we're all a little stretched. First off everything costs more so of course we owe more now than ever before. Secondly why in the world would we bother saving.

Big Squash

You gotta love a woman who's comfortable wielding  an eight inch carveing knife. That's Katherine. Needless to say I don't complain about our winter diet of squash, lentils and poridge. Hearty and cheap. Between that and the discount rack at Extra Foods we probally eat for less than most folks spend on there pets. Thats a good thing. Fritz will be opening up again today so maybe some breakfast sausage for a treat.

We thought we'd start the year off right by getting some professional help. Mystic Eye Psychic, 906 W. Broadway. The book world should turn around for us this year. So ya, Chistmas in Kamloops and a mini holiday in Vancouver. Katherine kept darting into all the oriental groceries to bring home things we couldn't find back in little old Creston and I took care of the business end of things.
