Thursday evening was a full house at the college when Luanne Armstrong read from her two most recent books, "I'll Be Home Soon" and "The Light Through the Trees". She is so comfortable in front of an audience. Makes for such an enjoyable reading from an author. Illana Cameron treated us to three of her songs, all touching on local history in the valley. A fun evening. All a little closer to home too as The Light Through the Trees is "a reflection on land and farming". We're seeing a handful of younger people in the valley who are interested in farming so a timely topic from an old pro.
